This site maintains checklists for birds found in individual geographic areas of the United States and Canada.  You simply identify the state, and location you are interested in, and a printable checklist is displayed giving all of the wild birds found in the area.  The species are ranked on abundance (common, occasional or rare) and the time of year they are found (year round, winter, summer).

This site is a presentation of photographs, songs, videos, identification tips, maps and life history information for North American birds.  Also included is taxonomy information and a glossary of terminology.  This is very complete and educational site.
